ACM evangelist Eric Madia and myself will be teaming up with other pastors, evangelists, and open-air preachers with Sports Fan Outreach International for the Super Bowl LIII Outreach. Our efforts will include open-air preaching, handing out Bibles and gospel tracts, answering questions, praying with others – doing whatever it takes to boldly share the Gospel of Christ in truth and love (Eph. 4:15).
This is a four day event Jan 31- Feb 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA. Over the days leading up to the event there will be an estimated 1.4 million souls participating in pre-Super Bowl festivities. With approximately 83,000 souls attending the big game.
We have considered what will be involved and conservatively estimated what we could do the mission for. Any costs over that will come from our own pockets.
In faith we have already paid for our registration of $275 ea. ($550 total). This will cover our lodging and shuttle transportation while in Atlanta. We are still in need of funds for supplies (Bibles, Gospel tracts, travel expenses to and from Atlanta as we’re driving).
The funds will be used for missionary costs including travel to and from Atlanta, meals, supplies, and incidentals. As a measure of good faith and transparency, we will make available an accounting of the expenditures upon request. For clarity, this trip will be solely focused on the events leading up to the Super Bowl, right up until kickoff. We will not be attending the game. After kickoff, we will return to our lodging area and pack in preparation to return home.
Through the generosity of some of you, we have been blessed to be able to serve in this ministry God has called us to. We would be thankful beyond words for your support no matter the amount.
In missions, there are two ministries, those who are called to go down into the well and those who hold the rope. It’s our prayer that you would be willing to hold the rope for us as we go into the well to reach thousands with the Good News of the Gospel.
If you are unable to donate, we would still appreciate your prayers. Regardless the amount of funds raised, without the power of the Holy Spirit as a result of intercessory prayer, one can do nothing by his own power.
May God bless and keep you!
