“Unleashing God’s Truth,
One Street Corner at a Time”

Beyond the four walls…

In modern times of timidness and pragmatism, we preach Christ crucified (1 Cor. 1:23) boldly, without fear (Is. 40:9). Our words of the truth of the Gospel message are laced in love (Eph. 4:15) for the lost to come to Christ for eternal life.  There is no eloquence (1 Cor. 1:21) or man-centered wisdom (1 Cor. 1:17) that can bring a lost person of Christ, only a clarion call to repentance and faith (Mark 1:15) unto salvation.

We strive to return to Biblical forms of evangelism rather than seeker-friendly, culture-driven methods that mimic the world rather than the church.  Our primary methods are open-air preaching in the public square, Gospel tract distribution, and one-on-one evangelism all undergirded by intercessory prayer.

The Appalachia region provides many opportunities by way of festivals, fairs, markets, and sporting events.  These events draw large gatherings of people to which the Gospel may be proclaimed.

“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”

– Romans 10:14

Though our focus is beyond the four walls of the church, we are careful and intentional not to usurp the authority of the local church.  Additionally, we do not condone “lone wolf” evangelists.  Ergo, we are a part of a local body and evangelists of the Body of Christ at large.

Areas of focus…

Open-Air Preaching

Open-air preaching simply put is the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the outdoors in the public venue (Mark 16:15). Faith comes by hearing the preaching of the Gospel message (Rom. 10:17). And that message cannot be diluted or manipulated to be more readily received. We are on mission from the King, the Lord Himself to deliver His message, not ours. The message that God sent His Son into the world to save sinners (1 Cor. 15:1-11) through His atonement made on the cross  and that way of salvation through Christ and Christ alone (John 14:6).  And we do this in the form modeled by Christ Himself by law to the proud and grace to the humble.

We do open-air preaching in the footsteps of open-air preachers of the Bible such as Noah, Jeremiah, Jonah, Jesus Christ, John the Baptist, Peter, Paul, and countless men though church history who has taken the message to the open air.  This is driven from a commitment to the sovereignty of God, to the authority to the word of God, and because we believe that Hell is real.  We believe that everyone who dies apart from Christ Jesus will perish for eternity under the wrath of God in a place the Bible calls Hell.  We take this message to anyone and everyone who will listen.

Local Church Equipping

We believe the local church should be the center from which all evangelism efforts flow. This provides accountability, unified efforts, and allows the church to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

Our efforts “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,” (Eph. 4:12) are fulfilled as we provide the local church training in evangelism to Biblically share the faith in any setting.  With a focus on understanding the Gospel of Christ and not methodology, allows the congregant to be equipped to share in any setting.
